What is Loop?

Loop Transport Network is a sustainable, on-demand transport service that aims to provide affordable first and last mile transit throughout college campuses and compact cities using electric and solar powered autorickshaws. The company is based out of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and hopes to launch at the end of the 2018 spring semester.

How does it work?

If you are looking for a ride, you can use the Loop app to request a driver to pick you up at your exact location. Once you have been dropped off at your location, your receipt will be sent to your email. Download the Loop app today!

Does it really only cost two dollars?

Because we own our vehicles and provide only first and last mile services, we are able to keep our costs low and provide affordable rides to our customers. Two dollars will buy you a seat in one of our rickshaws, or you can rent the entire vehicle for six dollars. This model helps us provide efficient rides around campus that are cheaper than our competitors' base prices.

Where do we serve?

Loop Transport Network auto rickshaws will be serving a two mile radius around the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

How do I become a driver?

To become a driver, you must complete an application and provide a driver's license in a meeting with the Loop partners. Once the application is live, a link to it will be included here.

I have my pet with me. Can I still get a ride?

Yes! Our autos rickshaws are pet friendly.

How do I pay for my ride?

When you sign up with the Loop app, you will add your debit or credit card information. Once your ride is complete, a receipt will be sent to your email.
